Tips, Tricks & Tactics

Hrothgorn artillery – The center of gravity in this list is certainly Hrothgorn Crossbow. Putting this Ogor in Kruleboyz creates very interesting situation where Gutrippas (and Shank/Killaboss) positioned within 3″ of Hrothgorn can respond to enemy movement nearby with Kunnin’ Trap reaction and use powerful S6 4/8 ranged attack against approaching enemies. Additional ways of generating extra crossbow attacks comes from Quiv triple – Here You Go, Boss! and in case Hrothgorn kills someone – Might Makes Right!.

Secondary threats – Fortunately the list isn’t as one dimensional as the paragraph above suggests and is full of other threats that can have great impact on the game. Not only there are 2 additional big threats in from of Ardboy Boss and Killaboss, but even the smallest fighters here can ruin opponent plans with Shank’s Sneaky Snares double, which is the strongest net ability in the whole grand alliance and a trap from Bushwakka that deal 2D6 damage which is insane for only a double.

List variants – As the list is centered around Hrothgorn, Quiv and Kruleboyz reaction, there is a lot of ways it can be build. Even the author of the list modified it for September edition of TTS league (he placed 2nd, more details and standings HERE). The changed list had Killaboss and Ardboy boss replaced by Brute boss and Gutrippa boss, which added You messin’ to already great list of available abilities which increased the potential value of Gutrippas.
